Orchard Way Primary School

Admissions

Orchard Way is a one-form entry primary school with 30 pupils per class. As a community school, our admission procedure reflects that set out in the local authority admissions’ booklet, which can be accessed at www.croydon.gov.uk/admissions.

To summarise, if the number of applications for a school is higher than the number of places available, the allocations will be made in the following order.

After the admission of children with an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP), where a community school is named on the EHCP, the criteria will be applied in the order set out below:

  • Looked-after children/previously looked-after children
  • Siblings
  • Medical
